This Privacy Policy explains how TurboFilterX (“we”, “us”, the “App”) collects, uses, and protects information when a merchant installs and uses the App on their Shopify store. By installing the App, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

To provide product filtering and search, the App accesses and stores the following:

• Store information — your store’s myshopify.com domain and the access tokens Shopify issues so the App can call Shopify’s APIs on your behalf.
• Product and collection data — product titles, vendors, types, tags, variants, options (such as size and colour), images, prices, availability, metafields, and collection membership. This catalog data is synced so filters and search can run quickly on the storefront.
• App settings — the filter, display, and styling options you configure in the App.

The App does not collect or store your customers’ personal information — names, email addresses, shipping addresses, or payment details. The App operates on product and store configuration data only. Our servers may record standard technical log data (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) for security and reliability; this is not used to profile individual shoppers.

How we use information

We use the information above solely to operate the App’s functionality — syncing your catalog, generating filters and search results, and applying your chosen settings on your storefront and in the Shopify admin. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How information is stored and protected

Data is stored on servers we control and is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to make authorized Shopify API requests. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold.

Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall the App, we delete your store’s session and the catalog data we synced for it. We also honor Shopify’s mandatory data-protection requests: if a store owner or customer submits a data access or deletion request through Shopify, we respond to the corresponding Shopify webhook. Because the App does not store customer personal data, customer data requests generally return no personal information.

Third parties

• Shopify — the platform the App runs on. Your use of Shopify is also governed by Shopify’s own privacy policy.
• Hosting infrastructure — we use a third-party cloud hosting provider to run the App’s servers and database.

We do not share your data with third parties except as needed to operate the App.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about your store, and to withdraw consent by uninstalling the App. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We comply with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR and CCPA where they apply.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
